Awareness About Different Renal Abnormalities

The kidney diseases are now fast spreading and can attack at quite a young age. It is estimated that more than 30million adults are living with kidney disease without realizing it. But our body gives many signs and symptoms of the coming hazard if only we can make out. It is vital to understand the kidney failure symptoms which could be fatal, if not checked. Taking medical help at an early stage is vital to avoid further health complications.

Symptoms of kidney failure
Some of the most common symptoms that people experience in case of a kidney failure are as follows:

Extreme fatigue
Tiredness is a sign of busy life these days. It may also be seen that your energy level falls totally, and concentration level also lowers quite abruptly while doing your daily chores. Further, there can be a severe decrease in kidney function, which can lead to a buildup of toxins and impurities in the blood, on a regular basis. In Apart from this,it is seen that another major complication of kidney disease is anemia, which leads to overall weakness and fatigue.

Reduced sleep tendency
Sleeping less or becoming insomniac can be one of the leading kidney failure symptoms. Having regular trouble sleeping would also be the sign that your urinary system is a toss for sure. It is said that when the kidneys are not filtering properly, then the internal toxins stay in the blood rather than leaving the body through the urine. This is one of the main reasons that one finds it hard to sleep at night. Obesity and chronic kidney disease are both interrelated, which a medical research has proved. Compared to the general population, it is said that sleep apnea is more common in those with chronic kidney disease and those who are obese.

Dry and itchy skin feeling
The dry and itchy skin is yet another one of the major kidney failure symptoms. Doctors say that a healthy kidney does many important jobs like it removes wastes and extra fluid from the body helps in regenerating red blood cells, keep the bones strong and work to maintain the right amount of minerals in the blood. With dry and itchy skin, one should know that it can be a sign of the mineral and bone disease that often accompanies advanced kidney disease ailment. So when the kidneys are no longer able to keep the right balance of minerals and nutrients in your blood, uneasy feelings start erupting one after the other.

High urination level
The amount or number of times one urinates becomes innumerable, and you can always feel like peeing on a higher force. So when you feel like visiting the toilet every quarter of an hour, during the night time, when one must sleep, it implies the development of a kidney disease without fail. Thus it can be regarded as one of the potent kidney failure symptoms. It is also said that when the kidney filters are damaged, it can cause an increase in the want to urinate more than regular times. Also, it can be a sign of prostate cancer in men or urinary tract infection in women.

Traces of blood in the urine
A healthy kidney would typically keep the blood cells in the body while filtering wastes from the blood to create urine. But when the kidney filters are damaged, these blood cells start coming out in small amounts or rather start leaking out with the urine. This, in turn, means that it can be one of the major kidney failure symptoms. It can also be a symptom of kidney stone or infection.

Foamy and thick urine
While urinating, if you find that there is an excess formation of bubbles in the urine, especially those that require getting flushed after several attempts, then it is a sign which indicates protein formation in the urine. It may further look like foam resembling scrambled eggs, as the common protein albumin which is found in urine, is also found in the eggs. Do consult your doctor immediately for treatment at the first stage itself.

Puffiness around the eyes
Puffy eyes are indicative of kidney failure symptom. When the protein in the urine starts coming, it means that the filters have cracked and it is allowing the protein to leak into the urine. The puffiness around the eyes is due to leakage of a large amount of protein in the urine, rather than keeping it in the body, thereby making one very weak.

Pain and swelling in the ankles
Diminished kidney function can lead to sodium retention, causing swelling in the feet and ankles. You may also lose your daily appetite. The total appetite for eating goes away, and one does not even feel like having food. This is known to be the most chronic of all kidney failure symptoms.
