Mild body pain is something that most of us ignore, till it becomes unbearable and starts hindering our routine chores. However, you can give these heal pain remedies a try to see if you can curb the pain naturally at home. You can get relief from the pain if a simple home technique can work for you. But, before trying these tricks, make sure you know the reason behind your pain.

Take heel pain for example, there are many causes of heel pain, though the most common one is plantar fasciitis. Most of the people may not be well-versed with this term. Plantar Fasciitis is a condition where inflammation of the band of tissues takes place through the heel to toes causing heel pain. There might be other causes as well, such as wearing high heels, walking for too long with a pair of uncomfortable footwear, heel spur, stress fractures, bone tumor and much more. There are a number of heal pain remedies that are available to ease the discomforting pain. Here are a few of them.

Go for a massage

Get your heels massaged with some hot oil while relaxing or watching TV. Massage them gently in circular motions for a few minutes and you will start experiencing a sense of relaxation gradually. Add an essential oil like frankincense or lavender oil in the massage oil to combat inflammation. A good massage can offer a temporary relief for sure.

Use an ice pack

Alternatively, using an ice pack on your heels is also one of the many effective ways to use as heal pain remedies that you can try at home. Wrap up some ice cubes in a towel or use an ice pack, if you have that, and then gently apply those on your heels. You will get a numb sensation but, gradually, you will notice that your heel pain has gone down a bit. Also, even while traveling, keep an ice pack in your luggage, so that in the end of the day, you can use it in your hotel room and prepare yourself better for the rest of the trip.

Exercise

Exercise is the best remedy for those who have this problem. Exercise can strengthen your muscle, oxygenate your body make your muscles stronger. If you’re someone who hasn’t been into exercising, you can start with stretching exercises. Try and stretch your heels to get a relief from that unbearable heel pain. Just be sure not to stretch your heels with a major force; do it slowly and gently. This is the best way out to lessen any problem as it is natural and very effective.

Opt for a relaxing soak

One always needs a reminder to realize the magic of a warm or hot soak in the tub. To get an instant relief from the heel pain, you can add some hot (not boiling hot) water in a small tub and dip your feet in it. Epsom salt can also be used as healing pain remedy. Epsom is magnesium-rich salt that speeds up the recovery. In the end of a 20-minute dip, you will realize that eventually your heel pain has been reduced to a considerable level.

Sip a cup of tea

Herbs can be used to heal pain remedy for your body and any pain you’re going through, especially heel spur pain. You can use herbs as a heal pain remedy through hot herbal teas, as they contain ingredients that can soothe your nervous system and give you a sense of relaxation. You can try turmeric tea, chamomile tea, cinnamon tea, alfalfa leaf tea and even a ginger lemon tea. Also, herbal teas are filled with anti-oxidants and this will stimulate your immune system and quicken the pain relief process as well.

Try acupressure

According to medical experts, if fascia-bar treatment is followed than more than 90% of the cases will not require the use of any drug or surgery. Heal pain remedies such as using ice packs, resting, messaging or taking supplements though relieve you from scorching heel pain but an on-site treatment of this problem can prove to be a catalyst in your recovery process. Fascia-bar treatment involves realignment of foot’s biomechanics, use of acupressure to heel bone and also gentle lifting and strengthening of the Plantar Fascia ligament. You can also start wearing flat surface footwear for daily purposes to avoid the occurrence of heel pain.
