Improve Your Brain And Memory With The Right Nutrition

Nutrients are essential for a healthy brain and body. We cannot function and live through life without adequate nutrients. However, eating the right kind of nutrients can help improve the brain and memory power. All nutrients help in increasing focus, bettering memory, and the availability of energy. They help us grow and heal. Nutrients are multi-purpose. Since the body is one whole system, we need several nutrients on a daily basis for us to function properly. We get them from the food we eat and it is, therefore, important for us to eat healthily. The improvement with the help of brain & memory vitamins is not instantaneous. The process takes time and you will see a gradual increase and development in the system. They take the time to build up in the system.

The food we eat is first used to nourish the body for its functioning and healing. Only then are the vitamins and minerals used to improve the brain and memory power. It is, therefore, essential that we take sufficient vitamins for the body and the brain. You need to take these over long periods of time for a significant improvement.

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is one of the most beneficial brains & memory vitamins. They were found to have several benefits for the brain and the heart. It is even used in the treatment of heart diseases. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that is used in the treatment of memory and Alzheimer’s. Vitamin E protects the neural linings that surround the nerves. It is also essential to help the nerves survive the oxidative stress and stay intact. This, in turn, will help you retain information better and longer. If you have adequate amounts of vitamin E as part of your brain & memory vitamins on a daily basis, there can be improvements seen in the function of the brain and the memory power as well. The dosage varies from person to person. It is crucial to remember that more and more amounts of Vitamin E will not help in memory retention. Instead, it may hurt the heart. Stick to the recommended amount and watch the progress happen gradually over a period of time.

Vitamin B12
This vitamin is responsible for making the new red blood cells, synthesizing DNA and for nerve transmissions. It is an essential vitamin that plays an important role in the energy cycle as well.
We do not need large amounts of this vitamin for a healthy brain. We get more than we need in the salt and the meat we eat. Meat eaters do not need B12 supplements. Vitamins need to be consumed over time to have an effect on the body. Those who have blood oxygenation problems will require these supplements. Otherwise, they are not needed. A better way of increasing the Vitamin B12 level is through a natural diet that includes meat. A person who has a lack of vitamin B12 in their system will feel tiredness and fatigue often. So, it is a valuable brain & memory vitamin as energy is needed by the brain to function and process information quickly.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids
They are said to have a direct impact in protecting the heart and more importantly increasing the brain size. They are also known to increase the speed of neural transfer, energy production, and the memory power. It is one brain & memory vitamin that you should include in your diet. They are also known to repair damaged neuron connections. Studies have shown that babies that have high amounts of omega-3 fatty acid levels in their diet have a high IQ and can perform very well in school. As we age, the omega-3 accumulated in the brain determines the loss of memory and extent of neural degradation. Omega-3 therapy even has effects in reversing memory problems.

Vitamin B
This vitamin is known for increasing the energy and focus in the body. Also known as folic acid, they maintain the oxygen levels in the blood and ensure that the blood cells are healthy. It is best to increase the Vitamin B intake if when you feel tired. It is one the essential brain & memory vitamins that is suggested if you are unable to concentrate. Ensure that you have foods with Vitamin B at least once a day. You can avoid supplements and have foods that have high amounts of this vitamin. It is the vitamin that helps us recall things.

Vitamin C
This vitamin is used to improve the focus in children. It also protects the cells from oxidative stress. In addition to that, vitamin C helps in keeping the immune system healthy. It is an essential part of a healthy diet. Apart from focusing on brain & memory vitamins, it is also important to remember that health should be the first concern. You can consume vitamins of different combination to have more of an effect on the brain. It is important to consult a doctor before increasing or decreasing foods in your diet. It is usually preferable to obtain these directly from food, as it is a safe and natural way of enhancing brain function and improving memory power.
